Scotland lift the 2014 Girls Rosebowl!

For the second time this year CYP hosted an international football tournament, this time it was the girls turn to take centre stage.  Between 4th and 7th August representative teams from Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland converged on North Down to take part in the annual Girls Rosebowl Tournament.

Despite heavy rain on the first day, the week brightened up and allowed all the teams to showcase some good quality football (See below for results).

Off the field the girls had a chance to mix by taking part in a range of ice breakers and other social activities – including a ‘Town Challenge’ around the Bangor Marina.

We hope that all the girls taking part had a enjoyable week and that everyone has went away with new friends and good memories of taking part in the Rosebowl.  CYP would like to thank all the clubs and organisations that supported the tournament, especially North Down Borough Council for their financial support and the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for attending our Opening and Closing ceremonies.
