Drug and Alcohol Curriculum Resource
About this event
ASCERT and Boys & Girls Clubs NI have been awarded EA regional development funding to develop Drug and Alcohol curriculum resources for the youth work sector. We have gained great feedback as part of our initial survey and have developed a programme from this information.
As part of this work we are facilitating a pilot programme to train youth workers in the use of the resources and get feedback from a range of youth projects after they use the curriculum with groups of young people.
The training will take place across 3 mornings (10AM-1PM) and all 3 sessions must be attended, comprising of:
29/9/21: Knowledge and Understanding of Substance Misuse and Young People
6/10/21: Demonstration of Sessions and Participant Practice (Part 1)
13/10/21: Demonstration of Sessions and Participant Practice (Part 2)
These sessions will all be delivered via Zoom. We expect to be oversubscribed so only 2 places are available to each organisation. If you cant get a place we can put you on a reserve list should extra places become available.
*We do ask that those participating in this training will be able to pilot the resources before the end of October.*
