Training – 17th & 24th May 2016

Keeping Children Safe Training for Staff and Volunteers is an interactive and participative training programme where participants will learn through presentation, group work and discussion.

Boys and Girls Clubs is offering child protection training free to all affiliated clubs.  Keeping safe training will ensure that your organisation has the expertise to provide training on good child protection practice for all staff and volunteers who work with children and young people.

Adults working with children and young people not only have a moral responsibility to provide a safe environment but also a legal responsibility to ensure that the welfare of the child is of paramount importance. Participation in the Keeping Safe Training programme certifies quality assurance in good practice within your organisation and Boys and Girls Clubs recommend that all staff who work with children and young people partake in the training.

Training for staff and volunteers –  suitable for staff and volunteers who have regular and or direct contact with children and young people.

Venue: Upper Springfield Development Trust, Springfield Road, Belfast

Date: delivered over two evenings – 17th & 24th May

Time: 6.30pm-9.30pm

Trials for this year’s Rosebowl Squad will be taking place on:

This years Rosebowl Tournament will be held from
Monday 3rd—Thursday 6th August 2015.

Trials will take place to select a representative squad who will compete against England, Scotland and Wales for the title of Rosebowl Champions 2015.

In preparation for the tournament players will be asked to attend training sessions, team building activities and friendly matches to prepare them for this challenging competition.   Players may also be asked to help out at fundraising activities to help us reduce the cost to players.

If selected, all players will be asked to make a small contribution to the tournament which will cover things such as tracksuits, accommodation and food.

So who can be nominated?

– Girls should be born on or after the 01/01/1998.
– Clubs must be affiliated to CYP at the time of the tournament.
– Players should be passionate about football, dedicated and committed.
– Players must be available for the tournament (3rd—6th August 2015) and prepared to attend regular training sessions from May—July 2015.

What will this mean for you!

This competition will provide these young players with:
– Additional coaching and support.
– Representative CYP Honour Caps.
– Football at an extremely high standard.
– Experience of a representative competition.
