Keeping Safe Training Rostrevor

Boys & Girls Clubs is pleased to announce we will be hosting a free 6 hour ‘Keeping Children Safe Training’ course for our club membership. 

Wednesday 6th February & Wednesday 13th February 6:30-9:30pm at St Bronagh’s Youth Club in Rostrevor, County Down

This course supports staff and volunteers interested in learning about or revising their knowledge of safeguarding practices when working with young people.

NSPCC – Child Protection Help Line offering advice and support to anyone concerned about the wefare of a child.  It is confidential and open 24hrs a day.

Child Protection in Sport Unit – Child Protection in Sport are there to provide expert safeguarding and child protection advice to sports organisations.

Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre – The NCA’s CEOP Command is here to help children and young people. They are here to help if you are a young person and you or your friend (up to age 18) has been forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity with anyone online, or in the real world. They also have advice and links to support for other online problems young people might face, such as cyberbullying and hacking. Kidscape – Is a charity set up to prevent bullying and child sexual abuse. It provides individuals and organisations with practical skills and resources necessary to keep children safe from harm within the UK

ChildlineFree helpline for children and young people in the uk.  Children and young people can call to talk about any problem.  A tetxphone service provides confidential support and advice from 9.30 am to 9.30 pm on weekdays and 9.30 am to 8pm at weekends.

Lifeline – Lifeline is the Northern Ireland crisis response helpline service for people who are experiencing distress or despair. No matter what your age or where you live in Northern Ireland, if you are or someone you know is in distress or despair, Lifeline is here to help.
