Stay Connected Service

Youth Online has developed ‘Stay Connected’, a service that can help young people stay in touch with youth workers, to have a chat or ask for support. 

The service allows young people to complete the online form and an EA Youth Service youth worker gets in touch, by text, WhatsApp, video or voice call.

The service runs Monday to Friday from 11-2 pm and 3-7 pm for any young person aged 9 – 25 years old. To find out more click here

Arts Council NI

Google Art Project

o help its users discover and view important artworks online in high resolution and detail, Google partnered with more than 1200 cultural institutions from around the world to archive and document priceless pieces of art and to provide virtual tours of museums using Google Street View technology. The Google Art Project features fine art from the White House, the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar, and even São Paulo street art from Brazil. Activity Village

Activity Village has always been about enjoying children and family and keeping kids busy in fun, productive ways. With over 27,500 pages of crafts, printables, educational activities and games viewed by visitors from all over the world. Activity Village pulled together some of their favourite activities which they are making them free for everyone to download during the COVID-19 outbreak.   • The Cincinnati Zoo: Daily Home Safari on its Facebook Live Feed.

  • Atlanta Zoo: The Georgia zoo keeps a ‘Panda Cam’ live-stream on its website.

  • Georgia Aquarium: Sea-dwellers like African penguins and Beluga Whales are the stars of this aquarium’s live cam.

  • Houston Zoo: There are plenty of different animals you can check in on with this zoo’s live cam, but we highly recommend watching the playful elephants.

  • The Shedd Aquarium: This Chicago aquarium shares some pretty adorable behind-the-scenes footage of their residents on Facebook.

  • San Diego Zoo: With what may be the most live cam options, this zoo lets you switch between koalas, polar bears, and tigers in one sitting.

  • Monterey Bay Aquarium: It can be Shark Week every week thanks to live online footage of Monterey Bay’s Habitat exhibit.

  • National Aquarium: Walkthrough tropical waters to the icy tundra in this floor-by-floor tour of the famous, Baltimore-based aquarium.

NASA

NASA offers free virtual tours of the Langley Research Center in Virginia, as well as of Ohio’s Glenn Research Center. The Space Center Houston also has an app that provides virtual tours, augmented reality experiences, and videos and audio stories about space exploration.
