Youth Restart and The Delivery of Services Important Update Regarding Residential and Overnight Stays

Youth-Restart-4th-Edition

Following the NI Executive decision yesterday to not ease restrictions further for Northern Ireland, the current position of Youth Restart and the delivery of services remains the same. To that extent, this means that residential/overnight stays, either indoors or outdoors (including overnight camping) CAN NOT resume at this time, however Education Visits/Day Trips are still permissible.

The NI Executive plans to review the guidance again on the 1st of July and if approval is given we will write to you again and provide information at www.youthonline.org.uk/restart regarding the delivery of youth services.

The current regulations are available on the Department of Health website:

Some of the restrictions are law through regulation, while others are guidance.

Everyone is legally required to comply with the regulations.

If you fail to comply with the regulations without reasonable excuse, you are committing an offence. For some offences you may be given a fixed penalty or a fine on summary prosecution.

The regulations will be reviewed on or before 8 July 2021.
